We are deeply saddened by the death of Dr. Khalil Noujaim, the Foundation’s Executive Director in
Cairo who passed away on Saturday, 3 October 2021. Dr Khalil was an esteemed patron and
supporter of our work since 2006. He was instrumental in obtaining the organisation’s NGO status in
the Arab Republic of Egypt, the running of Cairo headquarters and dealing with everyday matters.
His generous financial contribution enabled the construction of a new Deir al-Surian Library which he
visited on many occasions with his wife Beth. He was always ready to share his wisdom and
knowledge which benefitted and promoted our work enormously. Very kind always smiling Khalil
was an inspiration to all of us and will be greatly missed by those who had the honour to know him
and to work with him.
Our thoughts are with his wife Beth, his daughters and his family in this difficult time wishing them
peace and strength for the days and weeks ahead.
